John Deere has officially completed an expansion project for its factory site in Strafford, Missouri.
Deere’s $13.5 million investment is expanding its Strafford remanufacturing facility by 120,000 square feet, giving the facility now a total of 400,000 square feet.
Last year alone, the company says it introduced $20 million worth of new Reman products, bringing the total portfolio to 2,300 unique part numbers.
Deere says when the Reman facility initially opened in 2013, the original 280,000-square-foot building was designed with future investment in mind. What began with an original commitment to providing 55 jobs at the facility now has now become a source of employment for more than 200 people.
“We knew back then that Reman was going to keep growing,” Schrag said. “Designing the facility with expansion in mind gave us the flexibility to meet demand as our customers’ needs evolved.”
