U.S. Clothing Company Combats Supply Chain Holdups by Growing Its Own Cotton

The company attributes its domestic manufacturing to the recent acquisition of Buck Mason Knitting Mills in Pennsylvania. The factory and an affiliated mill, first opened in 1878 and 1906, respectively, were previously owned by Stitch Fix. 

Buck Mason’s website explains that the company’s co-founders, Erik Allen Ford and Sasha Koehn, bought the factory and mill after Stitch Fix closed the facilities in 2022 and eliminated 56 jobs. The new owner brought back 20 workers in 2023. According to Ford, the factory produces approximately 10,000 T-shirts per month.
