Titan Mining Set To Revive American Graphite Production

Titan Mining’s Kilbourne project in upstate New York is set to produce fully American-made graphite for the first time in over 70 years, sending its shares soaring more than 24% to a new yearly high.

Trade tensions and tariffs have pushed the US to ramp up efforts to secure domestic supplies of critical minerals like graphite—a must-have for batteries and high-tech manufacturing. Kilbourne is more than halfway through installing production equipment, with a new ball mill already in place and more machinery expected next month. Production is on track for the fourth quarter, potentially ending decades of heavy reliance on imports. The company’s CEO is bullish about meeting America’s long-term natural flake graphite needs and highlights Kilbourne as a genuinely ‘Made in America’ project. This marks a fresh step for US industrial independence in a space still dominated by foreign producers.
