Texas Instruments has broken ground on the first of four 300-millimeter semiconductor wafer fabrication plants in Sherman, Texas. The tech company, headquartered in Dallas, signed on to build the plants as part of a potential $30 billion investment. TI expects the facilities to create 3,000 jobs.
