Bought Olaplex products? You could be owed part of a class-action settlement. The hair care brand, known for its “patented bond-building technology,” was the subject of an April 2024 lawsuit that accused the company of “deceptively” touting its products as “Made in USA.”
Olaplex has denied wrongdoing but agreed to pay no more than $1.35 million to settle the false advertising claims. The brand labeled its hair treatment, shampoos and conditioners as “Made in USA,” despite containing “numerous foreign ingredients,” according to the complaint filed in California Superior Court in San Diego County.
