Japan’s Mitsubishi Chemical will spend over 100 billion yen ($915 million) to build a plant in the U.S. state of Louisiana for a key ingredient in plastics, Nikkei has learned.
The move comes as global manufacturers face the prospect of stronger preferences for U.S.-made products.
