Micron to Invest $200B in U.S. Amid Trump’s Reshoring Drive, Targeting 40% DRAM Made in America

According to its press release, Micron plans to expand its U.S. investments to approximately $150 billion in domestic memory manufacturing and $50 billion in R&D, creating an estimated 90,000 direct and indirect jobs. As part of today’s announcement, the company will invest an additional $30 billion beyond its previous plans. This includes constructing a second leading-edge memory fab in Boise, Idaho; expanding and upgrading its existing manufacturing facility in Manassas, Virginia; and establishing advanced packaging capabilities in the U.S. to support long-term growth in HBM.
