As medical manufacturers look to reshore production and tighten supply chains, Germany’s Sanner GmbH is the latest to join the U.S. manufacturing wave.
The health care packaging specialist marked the grand opening of its first American production site in Greensboro, N.C., part of a broader industry push to bring critical manufacturing closer to home.
“This is more than just a new facility — it’s a bold step forward,” said Christian Classen, chief sales officer of Sanner Group. “We’re reinforcing our long-term commitment to supporting our customers in North America with local production, cutting-edge technology and world-class service.”
Sanner’s 60,500-square-foot site features GMP-certified clean rooms, advanced injection molding and high-speed desiccant filling.
The grand opening comes just days after another reshoring announcement from GMAX Industries Inc., a Hauppauge, N.Y.-based disposable medical supplies maker. GMAX plans to build a $11.4 million manufacturing and distribution facility in Winston-Salem, N.C., creating about three dozen jobs.
