Governor Ivey Highlights Success of Alabama Manufacturing on National “Made in the USA” Day

Manufacturing remains a cornerstone of Alabama’s economy, accounting for nearly 16% of the state’s Gross Domestic Product and generating more than $50 billion in output in 2024, according to the National Association of Manufacturers.

With over 290,000 Alabamians employed across a wide range of industries—from automotive and aerospace to metals and appliances—Governor Ivey emphasized that the state’s economic progress is built on a solid industrial foundation. Her administration continues to invest in workforce training, infrastructure, and policies that foster business growth, supporting more than 4,000 manufacturing enterprises statewide.

“We’re building for the future,” Ivey said. “These efforts are paying off in the form of new jobs, rising wages and thriving communities.”
