In a news release distributed Tuesday, a company that has moved into the former GE plant in Logan announced that it’s close to starting production there.
“Stewart Glass is redefining the future of American solar manufacturing,” the release stated. “Located in Logan, Ohio, our facility will begin producing high-performance solar glass in March 2026, making us the first fully operational solar glass plant in the United States. As an American-owned and American-operated company, we are committed to strengthening domestic supply chains and supporting the nation’s clean-energy goals.
“With Stewart Glass, solar manufacturers gain access to a dependable, American-made source of critical solar components, reducing reliance on imports and bringing resilience back to the U.S. energy sector.
