Bitzer Scroll Inc. is getting a $5 million federal grant to increase its production of electric heat pump components at its factory in DeWitt, an expansion that is expected to create 20 new jobs. Funding comes from the U.S. Department of Energy’s Heat Pump Defense Production Act Program, which is designed to boost U.S. production of energy-efficient heat pumps.
